Hi!
I'm Brie, and I make silly, colorful art! My mission is to create fun, accessible pieces that bring joy to people's lives. You can find me at farmers markets and art fairs in Michigan with affordable products like stickers, art prints, and canvas prints.
I've always loved arts and crafts and dreamed of selling my work at local markets for years, but I could never decide what to sell. Then I began learning graphic design as part of my communications career and quickly fell in love with making digital art.
Outside of my art business, you can find me out in nature hiking, camping, and traveling the world with my husband Eric. Music is also a big part of my life – I’ve played saxophone for almost 20 years and currently play in several local ensembles. I’m also a proud cat mom to my two babies, Luna and Barnie!
I care deeply about the environment and I hold a masters degree in environmental science. That’s why I never use AI to create any of my pieces, and I film behind the scenes videos for many of my designs.
All photography I use is either my own or public domain. I do sometimes use graphic elements from Canva in my work, always staying within Canva’s licensing rules.
Pink Butterfly Co. was unofficially established circa 2001, when I was a little girl with a rubber butterfly stamp, a pink ink pad, and a dream. I decided to start a “business” whose purpose was to stamp my pink butterfly onto every book, envelope, and notepad I could find in my parents’ basement. Rumor has it that these early entrepreneurial accomplishments can still be found there today.
Pink Butterfly Co. took a brief 25-year hiatus before relaunching as my art brand in 2026. :)
